All artwork must comply with smart code standard for print ready art. When sending your artwork via e-mail, the attached file should be in one of the following formats: .EPS; .CDR/.CMX; .AI (9.0 OR earlier); .PDF; .PSD; .TOF; .BMP (sharp black line art, at least 600dpi at imprint size). Artwork that does not comply with the smart code standard will incur an art charge.
Vector art is preferred and will print best. All fonts should be converted to outlines. Raster artwork must be clean and sharp black line art, minimum of 600dpi imprint size or larger with an additional composition file to show ink color (if necessary). Please do not send .JPG or .DOC files as art.
ARTWORK: Please provide black camera-ready artwork or film positive, preferred size is 5”x 5” or larger. E-mailed artwork is also acceptable. Artwork will be sized to maximum imprint area for each product.
ART CHARGE: $45.00(A) an hour. Charges will be applied if customer supplied artwork is not camera ready or does not comply with the PPAI smart code guidelines for readiness. We will notify.
CAMERA READY ARTWORK: Solid black line art. All text sharp in detail with clean edges. Folded, wrinkled or faxed art is unacceptable.
HALF-TONES AND SCREENED ARTWORK: submit all artwork as solid black line art, with separate art for solid and screened areas. Included a composite print or overlay with the percentage of fill for the finished piece.
MULTICOLOR WORK: submit black “color separated art”. Include separate piece of art for each color with registration marks. Colors CANNOT touch or overprint when put together.
REGISTRATION
BETWEEN COLORS: Please include a composite
print of the colored artwork. Due to the printing process,
product may shift/move during production. Exact
registration cannot be guaranteed on multicolor imprints.
Latex Balloons: A
minimum of 1/8” or more of separation between colors.
Mylar Balloons: A
minimum of ½” or more of separation between colors.
Sport balls,
Ornaments, Sun Catchers: 1/16” to 1/8” or
more of separation.
